Jordan, Bethune-Cookman put away NC Central 34-20

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) Anthony Jordan rushed for three touchdowns in the fourth quarter, helping Bethune-Cookman surge late past North Carolina Central 34-20 on Saturday.

The Wildcats (7-2, 4-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) reeled off 21 unanswered points in the final quarter. Jordan's game-tying and go-ahead 1-yard scores capped 46 and 77-yard drives. After a failed fourth-down conversion by NC Central, Jordan broke away for a 30-yard touchdown to seal it with 1:33 left.

Larry Brihm threw for 119 yards on 12-of-21 passing and rushed 13 times for 104 yards with a 6-yard touchdown.

Michael Jones rushed for 117 yards on 12 carries with a 43-yard touchdown that pulled the Wildcats within one, 14-13.

Andre Clark scored a pair of rushing touchdowns for the Eagles (4-5, 3-2), his second giving NC Central a 20-13 lead in the third quarter. Malcolm Bell threw for 127 yards and a touchdown.
