Jimmy Bean is part of what made Emmanuel Ogbah so effective this season. Double Ogbah on one side, and you'd better believe Bean would make you pay on the other.

Bean won't play in the Sugar Bowl due to injury, but that doesn't mean his presence isn't still felt in the locker room. He's taking his role as a leader seriously.

“When I got injured, I was hurt because that was the best season I've had since I've been here,” said Bean, who tallied 25 tackles (10.5 for loss), 5.5 sacks and two quarterback hurries in eight games, “and I was only in the middle of the season.”

Bean took his injury news tough.

“He had to go back into the locker room because he couldn't stand it,” Ogbah said. “He couldn't take it that he couldn't be out there with us. That kind of made me almost cry.”

Bean's not going to let his injury stop him from trying to will his team to a win.

“I'm used to it now,” Bean said. “I go out there, watch everybody, really just try to take it in and enjoy this time to be here for my teammates.”
