Connor Murphy is a four-star defensive end out of Phoenix, AZ's Brophy Prep. He has offers from several Power 5 programs, including Michigan.

Murphy’s older brother Trent played for Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh at Stanford before being selected by the Washington Redskins in 2014 NFL Draft. That’s not the most interesting connection between Harbaugh and Connor Murphy, though.

Seven years ago, Harbaugh arrived early for a home visit at the Murphy household. Connor, then eight years old, was there with some relatives, while his parents were on their way back home. On the trip, Connor’s mother went into labor and had to be taken to the hospital. While she spent several hours there, Harbaugh and assistant coach D.J. Durkin helped babysit Connor.

This video details how everything unfolded. It’s definitely worth watching, and it will be interesting to see if Harbaugh can parlay this experience into a commitment from Connor.
