Internal support is Strong to bring back Texas coach

Despite Charlie Strong's struggles in two seasons as the Texas Longhorns coach and near-constant rumors about his supposed interest in the vacant Miami job, Strong has support from within the university to return to Texas next season.
Strong has repeatedly blasted the Miami rumors as being completely false. Still, there's those who have wondered otherwise considering how difficult these two seasons have been. Over the weekend, interim Texas athletic director Mike Perrin told reporters they can "go to the bank with it" that Strong will be back, apparently regardless how this so-far 4-6 season ends.
The Longhorns play Texas Tech at home on Thanksgiving night and finish up on Dec. 5 at Baylor, a team that could be playing for the Big 12 title and a possible berth in the College Football Playoff.
FOX Sports' Bruce Feldman also believes that Strong will remain at Texas. The Longhorns' freshman class has proven to be the team's best assets and Strong will also welcome in highly touted pro-style quarterback commit Shane Buechele from Arlington, Texas, the son of former Major League Baseball player Steve Buechele.
