Indiana State defeats Quincy in a 70-7 blowout

Mike Perish catapulted Indiana State into its first win of the season with four touchdown passes and one rushing in the 70-7 victory against Quincy Saturday.
Perish was 23 of 26 for a career-high 379 yards passing before leaving the field five minutes into the third quarter after setting up a 49-0 cushion for the Sycamores (1-2).
Robert Tonyan Jr. replaced Perish and threw for 54 yards to give Indiana State the final numbers needed to set a school record of 433 total yards passing.
Nick Lonergan struggled with Quincy's offense, completing just 12 of 26 passes for 107 yards and one interception.
The Hawks (0-2) relied heavily on Jared King's 19 carries for 75 yards rushing. King picked up Quincy's only touchdown with two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
Indiana State's 70-point game marks the most points the Sycamores have scored in Memorial Stadium.
