CHAMPAIGN, Ill (AP) - Illinois starting running back Josh Ferguson is out for the Nebraska game with a right shoulder injury.

The senior back did not return to the game Saturday after a 2-yard loss late in the first quarter. Illinois sports information director Kent Brown confirmed the injury but it wasn't clear just how Ferguson was injured.

The senior had 50 yards on four carries before leaving the game in the first quarter.

Freshman running back Ke'Shawn Vaughn is Ferguson's backup.
