Harvard outlasts Dartmouth 24-21

Paul Stanton Jr. rushed for 146 yards and Andrew Flesher kicked a late 23-yard field goal to help Harvard prevail over Dartmouth 24-21 Saturday.

The Crimson (6-1, 3-1 Ivy League) held a 13-0 lead in the second quarter as Conner Hempel ran for a nine-yard score and Flesher kicked two field goals.

The Big Green (3-4, 2-2) climbed back when Dominick Pierre had a 10-yard rushing touchdown. Stephen Dazzo returned a fumble 33 yards for a score to give Dartmouth a 14-13 lead.

Ricky Zorn threw a 32-yard strike to Andrew Berg on a trick play and Harvard converted the 2-point conversion. Dartmouth knotted it up with a seven-yard score by Kyle Bramble late in the third quarter.

Harvard drove 56 yards on 13 plays before setting up Flesher's game-winner with 48 seconds remaining.

Alex Park was intercepted by Harvard's Jaron Wilson on the ensuing drive.
