Hannon tosses 2 touchdowns as Furman beats VMI 24-10.

LEXINGTON, Va. (AP) Reese Hannon completed 18 of 27 passes for 291 yards and a pair of touchdowns as Furman defeated VMI 24-10 Saturday.
Hannon, who also rushed for 84 yards, found Thomas Gordon on an 83-yard pass play that erased an early 3-0 VMI lead. The freshman Gordon caught four passes for 142 yards for Furman (2-6, 2-3 Southern).
Antonio Wilcox scored on an 11-yard run and also took an 8-yard shovel pass from Hannon in for a TD.
The Paladins outgained VMI (3-5, 1-4) 506-280 yards in total offense and held the ball for nearly twice as much time.
Keydet quarterback Al Cobb left the game in the second half after a sack by Furman's T.J. Warren, who came off the corner unblocked. He was replaced by freshman Austin Coulling, who completed 6 of 16 passes for 60 yards and a late-game score, but was intercepted twice.
