Florida safety Jordan Haden, the younger brother of Cleveland Browns rookie cornerback Joe Haden, has left the team and intends to transfer.

Haden, a 5-foot-11 freshman from Fort Washington, Md., was behind senior Ahmad Black and fellow newcomer Matt Elam on the depth chart.

It is unclear where Haden plans to transfer. He chose Florida over Georgia, Illinois, LSU, North Carolina, Rutgers and Virginia Tech, and would have to sit out this season under NCAA rules.

Haden's older brother, Joe, was a three-year starter at Florida and the seventh overall pick in April's NFL draft. Jordan Haden followed his sibling to Gainesville in hopes of finding similar success.
