When Mark Richt named Virginia transfer Greyson Lambert Georgia's starting quarterback, many were surprised Lambert was able to quickly grab the lead role. After Lambert set the record for NCAA completion percentage against South Carolina, no one should be questioning whether Richt made the right call any longer.
For his efforts against the Gamecocks, Lambert has been named as the SEC's Co-Offensive Player of the Week:
Lambert has to share the award with Leonard Fournette of LSU, but considering the Tiger running back ran right over Auburn's defense, both players had to be honored for their excellent play.

• Lambert went 24-for-25 (a school, SEC and NCAA record 96 percent) for a career-high 330 yards and three touchdowns, which matched his career high, in the 52-20 dismantling of South Carolina.
• He completed 20 passes in a row to end the contest, which topped a Bulldog record of 19 set by Mike Bobo at the 1998 Outback Bowl.
• Lambert connected with nine different receivers in his third game with Georgia after transferring from Virginia.
• He led the offense to 52 points (most ever for the Bulldogs against a Spurrier coached team and tied for the most for Georgia in the South Carolina series) and 576 total yards.
