Goldrich leads New Hampshire to 20-17 win over Rhode Island

DURHAM, N.H. (AP) Sean Goldrich threw for 198 yards and two touchdowns as New Hampshire charged back from a 17-0 halftime deficit to take a 20-17 win over Rhode Island on Saturday.

Goldrich hit Dalton Crossan on a 52-yard scoring strike on the third play from scrimmage in the second half to close to 17-7. New Hampshire (4-4, 2-3 Colonial Athletic Association) scored on the next series when Crossan, who rushed for 114 yards, ran for a score from the 12 to trail 17-14.

Goldrich, who finished with 70 yards rushing, drove the Wildcats 84 yards in seven plays and passed to Kyon Taylor from the 5-yard line for the winning score with 5:46 left in the game.

Harold Cooper rushed for 97 yards and grabbed four passes for 48 yards for Rhode Island (1-7, 1-4) which has lost all five of its road games this year.
