Glendale, Ariz., Tampa, Fla., to host CFB title games in 2016, 2017

Glendale, Ariz., will host the College Football Playoff championship game in 2016 and Tampa, Fla., will be the site of the 2017 title game.

The College Football Playoff has announced the sites of the second and third championship games in the new postseason system that goes into effect next season. The championship game for the 2014 season will played Jan. 12, 2015, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home of the Dallas Cowboys.

Glendale is home of the Fiesta Bowl at University of Phoenix Stadium. The Fiesta Bowl is also part of the six-bowl semifinal rotation, but it won't host a semifinal until the 2016 season.

Tampa and Raymond James Stadium home of the Buccaneers, was a finalist to host the first championship game.
