Georgia Tech's leading rusher Marcus Marshall to transfer

ATLANTA (AP) Georgia Tech's leading rusher Marcus Marshall says he will transfer rather than return for his final two seasons.
Marshall announced his plans to transfer in January on his Twitter account on Wednesday.
He led the Yellow Jackets with 624 yards rushing as a sophomore this season. Marshall, the younger brother of former Georgia running back Keith Marshall, also led Georgia Tech with 654 yards rushing as a freshman.
Dedrick Mills started ahead of Marshall most of the season but missed three games covering two suspensions for undisclosed violations of team rules.
Marshall did not disclose the reason he is transferring. He wrote: ''At this point, I have decided to move on from the GT football team and will be transferring in January to continue my academic and football career.''
