Georgia DC Pruitt talks about players he recruited on Alabama's roster

Before arriving in Athens, Georgia's defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt was an integral member of Nick Saban's defensive staff at Alabama during two national-championship seasons. Pruitt was also known for his ability to recruit elite players to Tuscaloosa.

The biggest recruiting get during Pruitt's time at Alabama was five-star running back Derrick Henry. Considering Pruitt's main challenge this week will be coming up with ways to stop Henry, Pruitt was recently asked if he now regrets his previous recruiting success.

“I regret recruiting a lot of them,” Pruitt said is jest, according to Dawg Nation.

Interestingly enough, Pruitt left Alabama for Florida State, where he recruited Alabama's starting quarterback Jacob Coker to the Seminoles. Coker of course would later transfer to Alabama.

“You probably don’t realize this: He was the Mobile basketball player of the year. I mean he is a really good athlete,” Pruitt said. “A really good competitor. Jake can make all the throws. All the throws.”

Pruitt obviously knows several key offensive players for Alabama he will be facing this weekend. The question is: Will his unique insight be enough to slow them down?
