Lucas Beatty threw a pair of touchdowns in a prolific offensive attack that led Gardner-Webb to a 51-14 rout of Warner on Saturday.

Beatty was 14-of-21 for 231 yards. His favorite target, wide receiver Kenny Cook, had eight receptions for 179 yards and two touchdowns. Freshman running back Rodrick Talley carried nine times for 107 yards and a touchdown. The win breaks a three-game losing streak for Gardner-Webb (5-4, 0-2 Big South).

The Runnin' Bulldogs offense amassed 570 total yards with over 300 yards on the ground. The defense held the Royals to 165 yards of total offense.

The first half ended with a modest 24-14 Gardner-Webb lead. But the Runnin' Bulldogs would score four more unanswered touchdowns in the second half, including one by the defense, a 32-yard interception return of an Armando Caballero pass by Brandon Swayze on the opening drive of the fourth quarter.
