(STATS) - A visit by ESPN's "College GameDay" preview show to James Madison on Saturday proved to be a rousing success before the reigning FCS championship program beat Villanova 30-8 in a key CAA Football game.

JMU Athletics estimated a crowd of 14,000 packed the Quad on the Harrisonburg, Virginia, campus, where the iconic show broadcast for three hours. Analyst Lee Corso thrilled most of the crowd at the show's end by picking the Dukes to win the game.

Rece Davis, the show's host, praised the day by tweeting, "JMU crowd spectacular again. Tremendous showing. What a morning thanks to you all. We are very appreciative. CollegeGameDay was a blast!"

It was the second visit by "GameDay" to James Madison - the first was Oct. 24, 2015 - and the eighth all-time to an FCS game. The 2015 visit drew an estimated 12,000 people.
