FSU RB Cook will be 'full go' for opener vs. Texas State

Florida State running back Dalvin Cook will be a “full go” this Saturday when the Seminoles host Texas State in their season opener.

Cook, a sophomore, missed most of fall camp after he was suspended indefinitely from the team after being accused of striking a women in the face outside of a bar in Tallahassee. Cook was found not guilty of those charges on Aug. 24 and was immediately reinstated to the team.

FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher said Cook looks a lot like the guy who rushed for 1,008 yards as a freshman last season and he was a "full go" for the opener.

“He kept himself in tremendous condition,” Fisher told the Orlando Sentinel. “He’s got that burst. And I’ll tell you what’s rare that I was worried about, the feel to run and [find the whole].

“To feel the blocks and see what’s happening around him, sometimes that takes reps and practice to get back in the groove. But he’s kind of did it since the minute he got out there. He just has a natural tempo and feel of how to run the football.”
