FSU looking to smash draft records

The 2015 NFL draft looks to be a historic one for Florida State, as the Seminoles are on the verge of breaking several draft records.
It has been speculated that FSU has 12 potential draft picks this year, and if 11 of them hear their names called it will break the record for most draft picks produced over a three-year span (28) held by the Seminoles arch-rival Miami Hurricanes (2002-04).
Despite Florida State's rich tradition of producing NFL talent, the Seminoles have never provided the NFL with a No. 1 overall pick. That is likely to change Thursday, as former Heisman-winning quarterback Jameis Winston figures to be the top player selected this year.
If/when Winston is chosen in the first round, it would give the Seminoles three first-round QBs over the last five years (Christian Ponder, E.J. Manuel), marking the first time that has happened in the modern era, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
Aside from Winston, FSU has seven other players predicted to be taken in the first two rounds. Should that scenario play out, the ’Noles would break the record for most players chosen in the top two rounds (seven) set by USC (2008) and Tennessee (2000).
