FSU Football Stars Highlight 2016 All-ACC, All-American Teams

From FSU football stars like Dalvin Cook to Deondre Francois and DeMarcus Walker to Tarvarus McFadden, the ‘Noles are very well represented.
For much of the last three decades, FSU football teams have seen plenty of their stars end up on the end-of-season lists from both the ACC and several All-American outlets. 2016 is no exception as a total of 12 different players saw themselves make one of those lists Thursday.
USA Today released their first and second team All-American teams and, to the surprise of almost no one, running back Dalvin Cook and defensive end DeMarcus Walker made the first team offense and defense, respectively. Both players will likely be top picks in next April’s 2017 Draft (if Cook decides to forgo his final season).
As for the All-ACC teams and individual awards, both players were joined by top teammates who coaches in the conference felt were the best of the best.
Cook finished third in the running for both Player of The Year and Offensive Player of The Year, behind Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson and Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson. Walker finished tied for Defensive Player of The Year with Clemson linebacker Ben Boulware, becoming the seventh Seminole to win that award.
Quarterback Deondre Francois was named the conference’s Rookie of The Year (the 5th ‘Nole to win that award) and Offensive Rookie of The Year (the second all-time from FSU football). As for the teams, here’s where FSU football stars ranked:
First Team Offense
OT – Roderick Johnson, Jr.
RB – Dalvin Cook, Jr.
Second Team Offense
WR – Travis Rudolph, Jr.
OG – Kareem Are, Sr.-R
Honorable Mention
PK – Ricky Aguayo, Fr.

DE – DeMarcus Walker, Sr.
DT – Derrick Nnadi, Jr.
CB – Tarvarus McFadden, So.

Cook tied with Clemson wide receiver Mike Williams for having the most points, garnering 38 of a possible 39 from the 13 coach ballots (coaches were not able to vote for their own players). McFadden had the most points for any FSU defensive player with 35.
