Former Virginia WR Darius Jennings signs with Cleveland Browns

After earning a chance to try out at their rookie minicamp, the Cleveland Browns announced the signing of former Virginia wide receiver Darius Jennings among a handful of others. Shortly after that, Virginia football's official Twitter account sent a congratulatory message Jennings' way.

Jennings, who the Browns list as 5-foot-10 and only 169 pounds, will have a chance to earn a job as Cleveland's kick returner after thriving in that role at Virginia. He finished his college career as the Cavaliers' all-time leader in kick return yards with 1,839. During his senior year, Jennings averaged an impressive 27.1 yards per kick return.

On offense, Jennings wasn't as prolific. In four seasons, he accumulated 133 receptions for 1,667 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also carried the ball 38 times for 183 yards and a touchdown.
