Fisher has faith in offensive line

Florida State lost four out of its five starting offensive linemen from last year’s 13-1 (8-1 ACC) team, but head coach Jimbo Fisher has faith in this year’s crew.
In an interview with ACC Now Fisher said, “We’re very comfortable with where we are at. … That group pleased me and exceeded expectations.”
The Seminoles must find a way to replace 2014 starters Cam Erving, Tre' Jackson, Josue Matias and Bobby Hart, all of which have gone on to the NFL.
Sophomore Roderick Johnson is the lone returning starter and Fisher will look to him to lead the way.
“Rod Johnson is a left tackle who we feel very comfortable with,” Fisher told ACC Now. “He played last year and started as a freshman.”
Fisher said the supporting cast can be equally strong.
“(Last year) we redshirted two junior college guys in Kareem Are, a left guard who is about 6-6, 335 (pounds). … He’s really had an outstanding spring and I think has a chance to be a high draft pick when he leaves,” Fisher told the ACC Now. “The other guard, Wilson Bell, is a guy who I think came on more than anybody in the spring. He’s about 6-5, 325 and he’s physical and strong. He can be a really good player.
“At right tackle is (Chad) Mavety, who is the other junior college player. … He may be the most talented across the board.
“Alec Eberle will be the guy at center. He’s about 305 pounds and I think he’s going to be an outstanding player. … We feel very comfortable with where we are at.”
