BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) Florida Atlantic says it has relieved Charlie Partridge of his coaching duties after three seasons.

Partridge was 9-27 at FAU, going 3-9 each year. He had two years remaining on a five-year, $2.7 million contract that he signed in 2013.

The Owls lost seven consecutive games at one point this season, including a four-game stretch in which FAU lost each time by six points or fewer.

FAU's season ended Saturday in a 77-56 loss to Middle Tennessee State. The school dismissed Partridge on Sunday.
