E. Kentucky shuts out Tennessee St. 44-0

Jared McClain tossed three touchdown passes and Paul Ritter had a fumble recovery return for a touchdown as Eastern Kentucky shut out Tennessee State 44-0.
McClain threw all three of his touchdown passes in the first half, tossing both a 16-yarder and a 26-yarder to Devin Borders and a 1-yarder to Ike Ariguzo. Eastern Kentucky (6-3, 4-1 Ohio Valley) also scored on a 1-yard touchdown run by J.J. Jude and on Ritter's 7-yard fumble recovery return to mount a 34-0 halftime lead. Jared Sanders added a 3-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter to extend the Colonels' lead to 41-0.
Eastern Kentucky forced four turnovers and held Tennessee State (7-3, 4-2) to just 172 total yards. It was Tennessee State's biggest losing margin since a 49-0 loss to Eastern Kentucky in 2005.
