DL Anthony La Lota has transferred to Rutgers

Defensive lineman Anthony La Lota has transferred from Michigan to Rutgers and will be eligible to play for the Scarlet Knights next season.

Coach Greg Schiano says La Lota of Princeton is enrolled in classes at Rutgers and will be eligible to practice with the team this season.

A product of The Hun School, La Lota spent his freshman season at Michigan in 2009 before transferring. He will have three years of eligibility remaining. He had 92 tackles and 21 1/2 sacks over his two-year career in high school. He did not begin to play football until his junior season.
