Delaware defeats Delaware State 42-21

Trent Hurley threw for 328 yards and four touchdowns, both career-highs, to lead Delaware to a 42-21 win over Delaware State on Saturday.
Rob Jones caught two of Hurley's touchdowns, including a 33-yard pass in the second quarter to give the Blue Hens a 21-7 lead. After stuffing Delaware State on the next series, Jones returned the ensuing punt for a 62-yard touchdown, his third of the day. Jones had 3 catches for 43 yards.
The Blue Hens (2-0) added to their lead on a Nick Boyle 25-yard touchdown reception, giving them a commanding 42-14 fourth quarter lead. Hurley was 24 of 31.
Delaware State's (0-1) Cory Murphy threw two touchdowns to Malik Golson, including a 4-yard pass in the Hornets first series of the second quarter. Murphy was 30 of 45 for 302 yards.
The Blue Hens have won all five First State Cups.
