DeCicco leads Colgate to a 41-20 win over Cornell

Jimmy DeCicco rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns to lead Colgate to a 41-20 victory over Cornell Saturday.
The Raiders (1-4) dominated the Big Red (1-2) in the second half, outscoring Cornell 24-0. Quarterback Jake Melville filled in admirably after Gavin McCarney was injured early in the third quarter, finishing with one rushing touchdown and one passing. Melville's 6-yard scoring run capped a 15-play, 75-yard drive and gave Colgate a 23-20 lead.
DeCicco added both of his scores in the fourth quarter, including a 77-yard scamper to push the lead to 35-20. Dan Cason finished with 8 catches for 120 yards for the Raiders.
Cornell's Jeff Mathews threw for 351 yards and two scores, but also had two interceptions, one returned for a touchdown. Mathews also became the Ivy League's all-time leader with 9,303 passing yards, eclipsing the previous record of 9,294, held by Brown's James Perry.
