David Shaw praises Colorado's aggressiveness

Published Nov. 4, 2015 6:51 p.m. ET

Stanford head coach David Shaw has been impressed by Colorado's aggressiveness this season and expects the Buffaloes to compete like crazy on Saturday.

"Colorado plays really hard," Stanford coach David Shaw said. "Whatever mistakes you make, they're going to capitalize. They are aggressive, defensively. Offensively, they're going up-tempo. If you're not lined up, the ball is going to get snapped. You have to be ready every single play. Their quarterback is a great decision-maker. They've done a good job with their trick plays."

One player Shaw is particularly concerned about is Colorado's star wide receiver Nelson Spruce.

"They do a good job of getting Spruce open," Shaw said. "He's a great route-runner. He gets open against all coverages, short and deep."
