Dak Prescott: 'Ole Miss loss pisses me off'

Dak Prescott emerged from being a relatively unknown player to a serious contender for the Heisman Trophy last season. The talented quarterback broke 12 school records last season and lead his team to their first 10-win season since 1996 and their first Orange Bowl appearance since 1940!
Had Mississippi State not dropped three of their last four to close out the season, perhaps Prescott would be preparing for the 2015 NFL Draft, not his senior season in Starkville. State's most difficult loss to get over was the Egg Bowl against rival Ole Miss. Prescott told ESPN.com, "It's upsetting to my stomach and it pisses me off. It gives me that edge I need though to continue to get better each and every day and motivate me."
Prescott also addressed his draft stock after seeking advice from the NFL Draft advisory board, "I don't think it was first round, that's the only thing that would have changed my mind." Dak also added, "It was more about what I've done here, what the people here have done for me and how we finished, and that's not the way I wanted to go out."
Expect Prescott and Mississippi State to be a borderline top 25 team entering the 2015 season. If Dak continues to progress and the team manages to beat LSU at home in week two of the season, they could set themselves up for another run at the SEC West title this season. Doubt the Bulldogs at your own risk, but be warned, Dak says he came back for a reason, "We were number one in the country for the first time, but we don't want to be there for five weeks, we want to finish the season there."
