Despite missing a bulk of last season due to a knee injury, BYU dual-threat quarterback Taysom Hill managed to scramble his way on to the Heisman radar.

NFL.com writer Mike Huguenin listed Hill, who threw for 2,938 yards and 19 touchdowns and rushed for over 1,000 yards in 2013, at No. 11 on his 15 for ’15 Heisman list.

In 2014, Hill threw for 975 passing yards and seven TDs, while rushing for 460 rushing yards and eight scores before injuring his knee in the fifth game of the year.

Huguenin had this to say about the Cougars QB: “Hill is the only player from outside the "Power Five" conferences on our list. He was 10th nationally in total offense in 2013, then was on his way to an even better season last fall before he suffered a broken leg in the fifth game. If he's healthy, he will put up big numbers for the Cougars. Hill has OK speed and is a physical runner who'd just as soon run over a defender as run around him. And while he's not a highly polished passer, that facet of his game showed improvement before he was hurt last season.”
