College Football Injury Report: Week 6

This week’s College Football Injury Report brings injuries in a lot of key games. In a SEC matchup of two Top 10 teams, a running back injury makes the game even scarier…
In one ACC matchup, the questionable status of one running back makes things even more intriguing up front for the North Carolina Tar Heels. Despite Hurricane Matthew, a lot of games are scheduled to go as planned minus LSU-Florida, which was postponed.
Jalen Hurd, RB, Tennessee
Running back Jalen Hurd will not play this week due to a lower body injury.
The ninth ranked Volunteers will be without their leading rusher in this week’s SEC game against the Aggies. Hurd did not travel with the team due to the injury as well. The senior back has 407 rushing yards, 82 receiving yards, and four total touchdowns on the season.
Hurd will be replaced by junior running back Alvin Kamara.

Dwayne Stanford, WR, Oregon
Ducks wide receiver Dwayne Stanford is out this week due to an undisclosed injury.
Stanford has 13 receptions for 175 yards and a touchdown this season. As quarterback Dakota Prukop continues to struggle, he will miss one of his targets.
Sophomore receiver Jalen Brown is listed as this week’s starter. He has 17 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Taylor McNamara, TE, USC
USC Trojans tight end Taylor McNamara is doubtful for this week’s game with a back injury. The Trojans are 1-2 and looking to turn a corner in the Pac-12 standings.
It is still unclear if McNamara will play this week against 21st-ranked Colorado. The Buffaloes are 2-0 in the Pac-12 so far this season.
McNamara has four receptions for 36 receiving yards on the season.

Manny Wilkins, QB, Arizona State
Arizona State starting quarterback Manny Wilkins is out for this week’s game against the UCLA Bruins due to a foot injury.
Wilkins suffered the foot injury in the Sun Devils lost to the USC Trojans last week. He could return as early as October 15 against Colorado.
Backup quarterback Brady White will start in Wilkins’ place.
Ishmael Adams, WR, UCLA
Wide receiver and return specialist Ishmael Adams is questionable for this week’s game against the Sun Devils with a shoulder injury.
Adams is a cornerbacke converted wide receiver this year but has been mostly in the Bruins special teams game.
He is sixth in the Pac-12 with 235 kickoff return yards and ninth in punt return yards with 39 yards.
