College football week 11 is upon us. We take a look at the top three bets to make as we’re over halfway through the football season.
FSU football with the good comeback win over NC State, and wouldn’t you know we cashed a bet on that game!
Recap
-We took Pittsburgh +3 against Miami. The game was 27-21 at halftime and the suspect Pittsburgh defense took over and allowed 17 points in the fourth quarter. I thought Pitts offense would do better against the Miami defense. Two turnovers by Pitt and a missed field goal didn’t help. Loss
-We took Georgia Tech +10.5 against UNC. UNC did not punt the ENTIRE game. Come on GT, really? Loss
-We took NC State +3 (first half) and I don’t know any better that has been more automatic in recent memory than betting against FSU football in the first half. NC State led 13-10. Win
We’re 17-22-3 on the season. Let’s get into our top three bets and get some positive momentum going for us.

No. 16 WVU vs. Texas -2
Time: 12:00 p.m.
How to watch: FOX Sports 1
Where: Royal Texas Memorial Stadium, Austin, TX
You know my rule by now. It an unranked team is the betting favorite against a ranked team? Take the unranked team. Texas is at home. Texas is coming off a big win over the potent Texas Tech offense, holding them to 37 points(which is good for Texas defense standards). Take Texas to cover.
Sep 24, 2016; Chapel Hill, NC, USA; North Carolina Tar Heels linebacker Cayson Collins (23) runs onto the field after defeating the Pittsburgh Panthers at Kenan Memorial Stadium. Carolina defeated Pitt 37-36. Mandatory Credit: Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports
UNC -10(buy the hook) vs. Duke
Time: 7:30 p.m. (Thursday night)
How to watch: ESPN
Where: Wallace Wade Stadium, Durham, NC
It’s a rivalry game with UNC having the much better offense and a somewhat improved defense. UNC is coming off a blowout win over Georgia Tech and Duke is coming off a three-point loss against Virginia Tech. It’ll be close early, but I think UNC pulls away late.
Oct 8, 2016; Fayetteville, AR, USA; Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban talks to ESPN reporter Holly Rowe after the game against the Arkansas Razorbacks at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Alabama defeated Arkansas 49-30. Mandatory Credit: Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports
Mississippi St. vs. Alabama UNDER 55
Time: 12:00 p.m.
How to watch: ESPN
Where: Bryant-Denny Stadium, Tuscaloosa, AL
Alabama is coming off the physical game against LSU in which they won 10-0 last week. Saban and company will likely be able to run at will against this Mississippi State defense that is coming off a big upset over Texas A&M. I don’t expect a ton from the Mississippi offense in this one.
The clock should be running quite a bit. As always, enjoy the college football games and bet responsibly.
