College football fantasy picks for the sixth week of the season.
Huge games by the wide receivers in my college football fantasy picks kept my lineup in contention last week. Let’s see if I can get some of those monster games from every position this week.
QB
The first quarterback I’ll have in play this weekend is Hayden Moore($6,000). Moore will lead the Cincinnati Bearcats against the UCONN Huskies. The Huskies are ranked 17th in the nation in passing yards allowed per game, giving up an average of 294.6 yards. This weak passing defense could be exposed by the pass heavy Bearcats who are tied for 26th in the country in passing attempts this season.

The second quarterback I will be playing this week is Josh Rosen($4,600). Some might say Rosen is having a sophomore slump, but a lot of the struggles I believe are a result of the pieces around him. If there ever was a week for the Bruin passing attack to get back on track it is this week. UCLA will be facing Arizona State, who is giving up a whopping 396.4 yards per game through the air, the worst average in the country. If the receivers can hang on to the ball, Rosen should be in for a big day, at a low price.
RB
Ryan Nall($4,400) will be one of my running back picks this week. Although Oregon State uses a variety of backs, Nall usually gets the majority of the carries and the Beavers should be able to run the ball this week against Cal, who gives up an average of 245 yards per game on the ground. At the low price and potential upside, I’m taking the risk on Nall.
My second play at running back is Kyle Hicks($6,700). Hicks and the TCU Horned Frogs will be facing Kansas, a team who struggles pretty much every year recently. Their rush defense is not anything special, giving up 194 yards per game on the ground. and if they get ahead late, and not so much the 2nd string comes in, Hicks should get some additional carries.

WR
Noel Thomas($5,900) is my first play at receiver this week, as UCONN’s most productive receiver so far this season, the Huskies will need him to come up big if they want to keep up with Cincinnati’s offense. Cincinnatii also does not have a very good passing defense, giving up 269 yards per game. In both of these teams defense, they have both played Houston which will hurt your defensive statistics. I still anticipate this game to be somewhat high scoring.
Caleb Repp($4,800) is my next pick at receiver and is facing an Arizona Wildcat defense that gives up 275 yards per game. With a lot of ownership percentage probably going to Tim Patrick for the Utes, I will be looking to find somme value in Repp and hopefully a couple big plays.
