Gavin McCarney rushed for four touchdowns and passed for two as Colgate defeated Yale 47-24 Saturday after scoring three consecutive second-quarter touchdowns.

Jordan McCord carried 24 times for 138 yards and a touchdown for the Raiders (2-3), his fifth straight game over 100 yards rushing.

The Bulldogs (1-2) led 17-14 early in the second quarter before Colgate's three straight scores. McCarney, who found Chris Looney for a 79-yard first-quarter touchdown, finished the first drive with a 13-yard run. He hit CJ Stempeck from 31 yards for Colgate's second score of the quarter and ran the third in from 8 yards.

Yale drove from its 35 to the Colgate 18 in the final minute of the half, but Austin Dier's interception ended the threat.
