Coastal Carolina beats Furman 37-31 in 2OT

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) Alex Ross threw three touchdown passes, including the winner to running back De'Angelo Henderson in double-overtime, and Coastal Carolina beat Furman 37-31 on Saturday night.

Ross completed 15 of 24 passes for 205 yards and added 85 yards rushing. Henderson ran for 134 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries.

Coastal Carolina (6-0) got the ball first in overtime and settled for a 40-yard field goal from Alex Catron.

On second-and-9, Furman (2-3) ran a double-pass and Chad Scott was wide open near the goal line, but Andrej Suttles was pressured and the pass fell incomplete.

Jon Croft Hollingsworth then missed a 35-yard field goal attempt, but Furman called timeout prior to the snap and Hollingsworth was good on the second attempt.

Hollingsworth missed from 36 yards in the second overtime and, on third-and-2, Henderson caught a short pass from Ross and took it 17-yards for the win.
