Coastal Carolina beats E. Kentucky 51-32

Alex Ross was 19 of 28 for 292 yards and three touchdowns to lead Coastal Carolina to a 51-32 victory over Eastern Kentucky on Saturday.
Ross and running back Lorenzo Taliaferro led the Chanticleers offense to 631 total yards. Ross' favorite downfield target was DeMario Bennett who had six receptions for 131 yards and one touchdown. Taliaferro rushed for 174 yards on 17 carries and three touchdowns.
The Chanticleers (3-0, 2-0) scored 20 unanswered points in the second half before Colonels backup QB Kyle Romano led a 13-play fourth quarter drive with three minutes left in the game to close the gap to nineteen.
The win is the third straight for Coastal Carolina which started 2013 with two hard-fought wins against South Carolina State on the road and Furman at home. The team finished 2012 in a tie for first place in the Big South.
