Coming into the 2015 season it was assumed that the Wisconsin Badgers would have a strong running game.

History tells us that the boys in Madison will have monster offensive lines and multiple running backs capable of exploiting the holes they open up. However, with Corey Clement slowed by a groin injury the Badgers have had to throw it more than anticipated coming into the season.

Today Paul Chryst was asked if he was surprised by the play of his pass catchers and not just the wide outs. Here was his response:

"It's funny, because I think just from hearing people talk, I think they are a lot more surprised than I am. When we recruited Austin, I thought that was one of his skills. I'm anxious to get Fum (Troy Fumagalli) going and Rob, I remember watching Rob, and Jazz is one I didn't know a ton about, he's impressive. I don't know, I think guys work at it, and I think right now, we are doing some good things, but it is fun and it's because I think we can be a lot better."

The Badgers have gotten good contributions from running backs and tight ends in the first two games which bodes well for conference play when they have the full arsenal of weapons.
