Charone Peake lands on list of breakout ACC stars

With spring ball in the rearview mirror, USA Today recently put out a list of five ACC football players poised for a breakout season, and Clemson wide receiver Charone Peake made the cut.
The 6-2, 205-pound junior showed flashes of promise as a sophomore when he caught 25 passes for 172 yards and two touchdowns. However, Peake's Clemson career was slowed in 2013 when he tore his ACL early in the season and received a medical redshirt.
in 2014, Peake played in seven games and grabbed 12 passes for 129 yards and two scores. This year, Peake enters the season nearly two years removed from his knee injury and will join up with star wideouts Mike Williams and Artavis Scott to form one of the most dangerous trio's in the ACC.
