Wynrick Smothers threw two touchdown passes and ran for another score as Central Arkansas cruised past Bacone 70-3 Saturday night.

Dezmin Lewis scored three touchdowns - on a pass from Smothers, on a blocked punt return and a fumble return - for the Bears (2-1) in their home opener.

Willie Mathews ran for 153 yards, more than the Warriors managed in total offense, and capped the scoring with an 83-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Central Arkansas scored 21 points in each of the first three quarters. Bacone (1-3), an NAIA school from Muskogee, Okla., managed a field goal of 37 yards by Jamie Moore in the second quarter.
