Jackie Hinton had 18 carries for 106 yards and a touchdown to lead Central Arkansas to a 34-14 victory Saturday over Nicholls State.

The win for Central Arkansas (4-2, 2-1 Southland Conference) extends their winning streak over Nicholls State (1-3, 0-1) to four dating back to the 2009 season.

Wynri Smothers completed 31 of 43 pass attempts for 289 yards and a touchdown with Jesse Grande catching 13 of those passes for 111 yards. Dominiqu Croom caught the only touchdown pass of the night from Smothers on a 13-yard strike with 6:15 to go in the third quarter, part of the 21 unanswered points for the Bears in the second half.

Jacoby Walker sealed the deal for Central Arkansas on a 2-yard touchdown run with 9 seconds to go in the game.

Colonels Landry Klann was 12 of 18 for 269 yards, a touchdown and an interception in the loss.
