Deonte Williams rushed for 188 yards and three touchdowns and Cal Poly held off a fourth-quarter rally by UC Davis for a 28-20 victory on Saturday night.

Williams scored his first touchdown in the second quarter and the other two in the third. The last, a 7-yard run, gave Cal Poly (3-0) a 28-10 lead with 5:13 left in the third.

UC Davis (1-3) got to within striking distance in the fourth quarter, scoring on a 2-yard run by Courtney Williams with 10:10 left and a 41-yard field goal by Brady Stuart with 5:45 left.
