James Langford kicked a 39-yard field goal with 36 seconds left to lift Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo to a 27-24 victory over South Dakota on Saturday night.

After trailing 17-0 at halftime, the Mustangs (5-3, 3-0 Great West) got on the board in the third quarter with a field goal by Langford and a touchdown pass from Andre Broadous to Jake Romanelli.

Early in the fourth quarter, Josh Vander Maten ran for the only touchdown of the half for the Coyotes (5-4, 2-1) to make it 24-10.

Late in the quarter, Broadous ran for two touchdowns less than three minutes apart and then helped the Mustangs drive to within field goal range in the final minute. Broadous finished throwing 13 for 22 for 117 yards.

Dante Warren completed 11 of 16 tries for 183 yards and two touchdowns while Kevin Robb added a field goal for the Coyotes.
