Linebacker Sean Rafferty intercepted a pass and returned it 12 yards for the go-ahead touchdown as Bucknell upset Georgetown 24-21 in Patriot League play on Saturday.

Rafferty's touchdown return came with 11:43 remaining in the fourth quarter and sealed the victory for the Bison (1-5, 1-0) who held the Georgetown running game in check and benefited from numerous Hoyas mistakes.

The Hoyas (3-4, 2-2) committed 10 penalties for 109 yards and rushed for only 41 yards while Bucknell's offense dominated time of possession by holding on to the ball for 38:44.

Patrick Ryan caught five passes for 78 yards and backup quarterback Isaiah Kempf completed 18 of 34 passes for 252 yards and two touchdowns for Georgetown in the loss.

Running back Tyler Smith ran for 59 yards and a score while quarterback Brandon Wesley added 58 yards on the ground and a passing touchdown.
