Brian Kelly hints Notre Dame will have fast offense

Get ready for a really fast-paced offense, Notre Dame fans.

Fighting Irish coach Brian Kelly implied on Saturday that his offense, now led by junior quarterback Malik Zaire, will be very up-tempo this season.

Kelly thought of his offense while watching the Indy 500.

"Thought while watching the Indy 500 ... If you think this is fast, wait until you see our offense next year," he wrote on Twitter.

Notre Dame’s offense was pretty mediocre in the speed department in 2014, running a play every 23.3 seconds - a mark that ranked No. 63 in the country. Kelly must expect the amount of time between plays to decrease dramatically.
