Brawl at The Big House: Three players ejected for throwing punches

Three players were ejected for throwing punches after a melee broke out in the second quarter of Saturday’s game between Ohio State and Michigan.
The brawl was sparked when Ohio State running back Dontre Wilson and Michigan linebacker Royce Jenkins-Stone locked up after a kickoff return. Jenkins-Stone yanked off Wilson’s helmet and the Ohio State running back intermittently threw a punch at Michigan cornerback Delano Hill. Wilson and Jenkins-Stone were ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Sidelines cleared and players and coaches rushed towards the center of the field where the brawl occurred.
Meanwhile, Ohio State’s starting offensive tackle Maurice Hall was tangled with a member of the Maize and Blue and also let his fists fly. Hall, who is a senior, was ejected and left in an infuriated fashion.

It’s natural to play with an edge in your school’s rivalry game, but losing your composure affects the whole team.
Another developing storyline is if the two ejected Buckeyes will face further discipline for next week’s Big Ten Championship Game against Michigan State (Dec. 7, 8 p.m. ET, FOX).
