Boykin devastated by arrest, says mistake won't define him

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) Trevone Boykin says he was devastated by the mistake he made when he was arrested before TCU's bowl game and got suspended from his final game with the Horned Frogs.
Boykin said Monday night that it's a mistake that he knows he can overcome, and that it won't define him.
The record-breaking quarterback says he's thinking positive and trying to move forward while preparing for the NFL combine later this month.
Boykin earned his degree from TCU in December and has since been working out at IMG Academy in Florida.
Boykin was charged with felony assault of a police officer in San Antonio on Dec. 31, two days before TCU won the Alamo Bowl. He was out after the team's curfew when police say he was heckled at a bar and ended up being subdued by authorities.
