GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) Malcolm Bell threw for 200 yards and rushed for a score as North Carolina Central knocked off North Carolina A&T 21-14 on Saturday to muddy the title waters of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.

North Carolina Central (8-3, 7-1) moved into a tie with North Carolina A&T (9-2, 7-1) which could have claimed the outright title with a victory. Bethune-Cookman (9-2, 7-1) beat Florida A&M 35-14 on Saturday to cause a three-way tie. NC A&T will most likely still go to the inaugural Celebration Bowl in Atlanta on Dec. 19.

The Eagles went into the final quarter leading 14-10. Dorrel McClain, who rushed for 167 yards, broke for a 16-yard touchdown run early in the fourth for a 21-10 lead. The Aggies' Kylil Carter hit Dequan Swann from the 1 to close to 21-16.

Jordan Miles forced an Aggie fumble and Jalen Wilkes recovered to stop the drive with 4:11 remaining in the game.
