Auburn loses yet another coach to Will Muschamp, South Carolina


The one year Will Muschamp experiment has once again come back to haunt Auburn, this time the former Tiger defensive coordinator has pilfered graduate assistant Blake Gideon from the team and has hired him at South Carolina. Gideon is the seventh member of the Auburn coaching staff to leave the team his offseason.
Gideon was temporarily promoted to defensive back coach for the Birmingham Bowl against Memphis following the departure of defensive back Travaris Robinson. Robinson left for South Carolina with Muschamp and will serve as the Gamecocks' defensive coordinator in 2016.
This is the second time Gideon will be following Muschamp, as he was an assistant under the former Florida head coach in 2014 in Gainesville. Gideon announced the news via his Twitter account:
