Senior defensive end Mike Tuaua and redshirt freshman receiver Andre Petties-Wilson returned to practice Wednesday, TCU coach Gary Patterson informed reporters.

The players were arrested last week on charges of robbery and assault, accused of kicking and punching another TCU student and stealing a case of Keystone Light beer outside a party the night after TCU opened the season with a road win at Minnesota. A few days later, both players were suspended from the team.

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the players have cleared university discpline and were allowed to return to practice.

Their availability for Saturday's Big 12 game against Texas isn't known. The No. 4 Horned Frogs can use all the help they can get, especially from Tuaua. Six defensive starters have been lost to injury in the opening month of the season.

“As an ambassador for this university, I’m sad for all parties, not just my guys, that the incident happened,” Patterson said after practice Wednesday. “They’ve had a three-game suspension. I’m saddened that the whole situation went down. Hopefully my guys learn from it.”
