4-star QB commits to Alabama

Nick Saban strikes again. Friday night, Alabama landed another top commitment for its vaunted class of 2016 – this time from four-star dual-threat quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Hurts made his decision during the Elite 11 semifinals, releasing a statement praising Coach Saban’s “plan” for his players. He made it a point to note that he chose Alabama for its academics as well as its athletics.

Hurts, who stands at 6-foot-2, 196 pounds according to Rivals, chose Alabama over a number of other prominent programs, including Florida, Texas A&M, Missisippi State and West Virginia.
