4-star athlete Beau Bisharat commits to Stanford
Days after releasing his top-10 list, 2016 recruit Beau Bisharat has chosen to play college football for the Stanford Cardinal.
Bisharat, who is 6'3" and 205 pounds, is a linebacker who would have fit well at Oregon, where his father Charlie played football, but instead chose to play for Stanford, mostly due to academics.
"Obviously, academically, Stanford is one of the best in the country," Bisharat said, according to Andrew Nemec of The Oregonian. "They want me to play running back. I love Coach (David) Shaw. It's just a perfect fit for me. The guys that go there come from the same kind of family as me too."
Bisharat will either play linebacker or running back for Stanford. The Ducks did not see him as a running back because he did not fit their offensive system.
